I live in the most beautiful country in the world.

Life here is inspirational, it has beautiful beaches, forests and mountains.  New Zealand is unique and different.

We love our sports and arts, surf and music. 

Food is fresh and the water is clean.

  Our cities are multicultural and interesting.

People say hello to one another passing on the street. 

We do things our way, the kiwi way.

 

I come from a family of dancers. My parents were

 New Zealand Latin Champions. They inspired my younger sisters and me.  I have won several national titles in Ballroom,  Latin and 10 Dance. Though competitive dancing is no longer my main focus I am now involved in a very different way and I love it!

My inspiration to sew comes from my mother and two late grandmothers.  They are/were all very creative and and extremely talented.  These wonderful women were there to start me off with hand sewing and constructive criticism. I now have a Level 3 Diploma in Apparel Product Development (QFC).

  I still have a very strong connection with my grandmothers, they are watching over me every stitch of the way. 

 

My Mum is my number one supporter and helper. Her name is Leona, hence the name Le Kes and I am Kes, just Kes.

 

The world is becoming smaller and more connected.

I talk to my amazing friends from other side of world daily and that’s the way I like it. Our worlds collide in such a positive way. Welcome to my world.
